The challenge
Dispatch needs to know where every load is, all day, without draining drivers' phones, and Google Play's background-location rules are strict.
What I built
- Load assignment and acceptance, an earnings dashboard and in-app chat with dispatch.
- Background location through a foreground service, meeting Google Play's background-location policy.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics and Realtime Database integration.
- Release engineering: build upgrades, signing, store listings and the Google Play testing tracks.
